The ComPACS Web Workstation is the user front end web interface of a ComPACS system. It exploits ActiveX and HTTP(S) technology to allow access to patient and study, DICOM information, data import and export, off-line analysis and reporting, all using a Microsoft Internet Explorer browser.

The web workstation provides the same user interface and functionality of the equivalent desktop ComPACS Workstation, facilitating in-site and off-site usage. Dynamically user defined compression levels (JPEG Lossy, MPEG4, etc.) for DICOM data reduces image and loop access time while still allowing access to fully uncompressed DICOM data when required.

From the web workstation, users can access all predetermined patient databases for their facility stored in a ComPACS Archive. Alternatively it is possible to directly import patient and study data from DICOM media or from different proprietary formats (Philips-Agilent® DSR-TIFF, Philips-ATL® DEFF, Aloka® Line Data, etc.). From these databases, users can search and retrieve individual studies or groups of studies while applying various filters to their search.

The workstation can also access embedded and additional advanced post-capture analysis and reporting tools for various modalities (echo, IVUS, Nuclear Medicine, angiography). Please refer to the reporting and analysis modules datasheets for further information.
